United has been a sponsor of Team USA for more than 40 years. But more than that, they’re true partners, supporting Team USA by flying Olympians and Olympic hopefuls around the world to pursue their dreams. United employees are “the team behind the team” and for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, our goal was to let everyone know.
We created content that generated awareness of United’s sponsorship and that clearly resonated with flyers and Olympic fans at large. We established that United is not only the support team for Team USA, but also the team behind their everyday customers. United’s enthusiastic support for Team USA appealed to consumers and ultimately increased brand favorability and preference for the brand.
